The weather over the next few days is about to become a rather tricky forecast. Not tricky however from what we are use to. What is going to happen is that everything will be very close to the region, but we won't see the bulk of it.
Right now, a cold front is headed towards the region. This cold front is going to be bringing in a few rain showers and possibly a storm with it later this afternoon and evening in the western half of the region. Things will get a bit tricky after this however.
We're watching as the remnants of Isaac come up towards the region, but here is the catch: the cold front. The cold front is going to be pushing Isaac away from the region, but not far enough. A high pressure is going to be in the eastern states, which means that Isaac will have no where to go but southern Illinois. With a big enough rain shield and a warm front ahead of it, it seems apparent that the rain showers will be very close to the region, if not in the region.
Now some places will see more, obviously, than others. I am thinking the western half of the region will have a better chance than the eastern half.
The weather continues in this pattern for teh weekend. I'll try to write a more detailed update later today, but if not: for now, that's the weather!
