Ok,
I didn’t make very many changes to the forecast; mainly because things seem to
be going generally to plan right now (knock on wood). Still holding out for a
slight chance of a storm or two in the eastern Cleveland and Erie areas for the
next couple hours, but nothing big will form if it does form.
A
broad area of high pressure is trying to set itself up in the region, and this
is going to be the dominant feature for the regional weather over the next few
days. If you remember me typing this morning, this high pressure will in fact act
as a jammer for the systems to our west.
The
high pressure will start off by keeping the regional weather cool, today and
tonight, but tomorrow that high will be a bit pesky and head just slightly to
the east. The upper levels will continue to aid in this and this will allow for
some warmer air to filter into the region (though nothing terribly hot like
what we saw last month). Looks like highs will generally be in the lower 90’s
in the western half of the region by the time the weekend rolls around.
Rain
showers and thunderstorms will enter the region as a front nears the area on
Sunday night and going in Monday. This will be something that I’ll type more
about in the update tomorrow morning.
So
not a whole lot going on in the region this afternoon and this will be the
theme for the next couple of days in the region (high pressure equals boring
weather). I’ll keep you updated as always, and I’ll try to revise those
forecasts later this evening, but if not, then they’ll be revised tomorrow
morning. For now, that’s the weather!
