Quick Update

Before I begin, I am having tech issues this morning, so this is a quick update. I'll have the extended forecasts and a fuller update coming up around 1:00PM this afternoon. Now to the weather: A low pressure system is passing to the region's SE today. Though my forecast does have a chance for rain showers and thunderstorms in the region today, the chances aren't going to be that high in the west and they'll be so-so in the eastern half of the region. The main thing that will cause rain showers and/or thunderstorms in the western half of the region will be some stray/breakaway rain showers and storms from the precip shield of this low pressure system. Also, the advection and instability today might also be enough to help give some lift that'll support the storms for today. So if you have outside plans today in the western half of the region, west of Cleveland, then you'll actually be fine for the most part. However, there is still going to be that chance for a few scattered storms later this afternoon and into the evening in the west. Of course I'll keep you updated if that happens.
Today in the eastern half of the region, the low's centre will be a little bit closer. This means that the precip chances will be a little bit better for you guys, especially this evening and overnight, which is when I expect the best chances to take place. It won't be a washout either, but I am expecting that rain showers and storms will be possible overnight in that area. However, whether it'll be a lot of them or a few of them is presently hard to tell (remember, not all of my charts are in this morning). I will not post my extended forecasts until about 1:00PM due to technical issues. I'll of course keep you all updated as always. For now, that's the weather!
