WHAT IS BEING TRACKED: Low pressure to move into the region tomorrow and Friday. Rain first, then snow.
17 July 2012
A high pressure system is responsible for this heat and that is what will push the western half of the region close to, if not all the way up to, at least 100F for a high today. Now there wil be some relief on the way in the next couple days, and it is going to come in the form of a cold front which will drop down into the region by the day tomorrow. If we're lucky, this front will be enough to help kick off rain showers and thunderstorms in the region. I'll have those extended forecasts coming up in a little bit, so make sure that you keep checking back for updates. But for now, that's the weather!
