04 July 2012

The forecast for today shall remain the same, and so will the extended forecasts for the time being. Here is what is going to happen today in the region:Upper level ridge of high pressure still dominating the region will cause for the frontal boundary to remain in the region today. The boundary however will be mainly focused to the eastern half of the region today, storm chance there will be greater. I am still going to keep a chance for storms in the western half of the region, but only a slight chance, as I do not think the conditions will be all to favourable for storm development, but there might be enough lift late this afternoon and into the evening which could help fire up a storm or two in that area. Nonetheless, because of the ridge of high pressure being in the region today, that will allow for temperatures to rise once again in the upper 90's in a lot of places - especially out around Fort Wayne and Toledo where heat advisories and warnings will be in effect today and this evenig. Now for the eastern half of the region, once again conditions are looking a little bit more favourable for storm development late this morning and throughout the afternoon today. I will be providing updates on that if need be. So, with the boundary where it is at, and the flow from the upper levels and the ridge of high pressure...it's going to almost be like yesterday, only a bit warmer in some spots. So, I'll keep you updated, but today is going to be a little difficult as it is the holiday and most of us probably won't be checking our computers or phones today. So this will be my last update post for the day unless I need to do some storm posts later today, however I will be revising those extended forecasts later this evening around 9:00PM or 9:30PM, so make sure that you check back for those updates. For now, that's the weather! Have a great day.
