Storms crossing into NW Ohio just a few moments ago and they are making good speed...ESE at around 65-mph. Very quick moving storms obviously. The severe storm watch remains in effect for parts of the NE Indiana area this afternoon until 7:00PM. Ok, back to the storms now moving towards the region. Right now, the bulk of them will remain just off to the south of the forecast area for Toledo. They will be more focused down in Lima and that area. However, there are a few sections of the storms (primarily up near Williams and Defiance counties in Ohio) that I am keeping an eye on...they seem to be wanting to move a bit more eastward rather than ESE like the rest. Which is to be expected in this case. Small hail and gusty winds will be likely within this storm line. I am thinking that Henry County will get it, but the question remains will areas such as Findlay and Bowling Green be close enough to get them? Remember, this is a bow-echo storm and it heading NW to SW, not W to E, but its doing so at a continuously curving fashion which does complicate the patterns at times. At the same time, we're seeing the line expand a bit in some places, so that is where the keeping an eye on things will matter this afternoon. Remember, Defiance County and Henry County in NW Ohio, severe storm warning until 4:00PM. I'll keep you updated, but for now, that's the weather!
