20 June 2012

Some slight changes to the extended forecasts are being made right now, but nothing too big. The main focus this morning is the western half of the region where the cold front will move through first.

This cold front will be a little bit tricky when it comes to the moisture of it, but nonetheless I am expecting that storms will be in the western half of the region tomorrow afternoon. Cold front will beghin to near the western half of the region tomorrow afternoon, and then pass through the western half of the region by the late afternoon. Rain showers and thunderstorms ahead of the front are looking likely, however how organized they will be is still up for debate. Also, I am not expecting that the storms will be too strong, so mainly the biggest threat will be small hail and perhaps wind gusts around 40-50mph within the storms (which is basically normal).

Now it'll be close for some places in the region to get those rain showers and thunderstorms. The thing about this front is that it's going to come at a sort of awkward time. The front will near the western half of the region by the late afternoon, right when peak heating occur ahead of the front. This is when the storms will start to develop, and rather a quickly more than likely. The thing is, if the front comes too early, then places like Fort Wayne and Toledo could bust out on the rain shower and thunderstorm chances, but if it holds off until the evening, then the mentioned locations will see the storms and rain showers. For right now though, I am feeling that Cleveland will have probably the best chance for storms tomorrow, followed up by Toledo and Erie.

I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, that's the weather!
