Not a very difficult forecast for the region today, mainly just getting the timing down will be the only semi-hard part. Warm front in the northern half of the region this morning will continue to gradually slide northward throughout the rest of the morning. This is going to allow for more of that moist and warm air to enter the region. Temperatures in the region today are going to be rather warm today with a lot of places getting to 90F and possibly above.
However, there is relief in the region, and it is coming in the form of a cold front. Located right now over in the Midwest, this cold front will continue to head towards the region throughout the day. This cold front is going to lower the temperatures for the region tomorrow, but it'll come with some much needed rain in parts of the region.
The cold front will near the region throughout the late afternoon and early evening, and this is going to allow for a small chance of an afternoon pop up storm in the western half of the region. The chances will be small, but I am thinking that with the heating and the humidity, we could be seeing a few pop up in the region by the time the late afternoon comes around.
The best storm chances will enter the region by the time late this evening comes around. The cold front will near the region during this time, and that will allow for those storms to get ramped up in Indiana. The storm chances will increase rather nicely after midnight in the western half of the region and then gradually filter through the region overnight. The last places where the storms will begin to build will be the eastern half of the region where the storms might not actually arrive until late tonight/early tomorrow morning.
Storms are going to continue into the morning in a lot of places of the region, but then they'll gradually taper off from the west to the east during the day tomorrow.
High pressure builds intothe region on Wednesday and will stay with us through the day Thursday and this is going to allow temperatures to finally become cool enough...that you can turn off the A/C if you have it.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, that's the weather!
