The forecast is going to be a little bit on the tricky...yet easy side at the same time over the next couple of days.
Today we have a cold front, albeit a weak one, passing through the western half of the region, and later today this front is going to stall out. Though it will stall out, portions of it will still be moving. This means that by tomorrow morning the front will be along the Lake Erie shoreline (give or take some miles). This is going to allow for that warm to continue to filter into the region tomorrow.
On Sunday, we're going to watch this warm front push northward a bit as a warm front...and if you think the temperatures are already warm enough...well they aren't...we'll go up a few more degrees on Sunday. The bulk of the region during this time wil actually hit 90 and some will go above it. Fort Wayne will more than likely be the warmest location in the region during this time. Sunday night, there will not be any relief...so do not count on that
Monday, things start to get a bit easier. We're going to watch an approaching cold front head towards the region, and this is going to up the storm chances in the late afternoon.
Monday evening, the storm chances will increase with the arrival of this cold front, and yes, the temperatures will also begin to drop a little bit.
Tuesday and Tuesday night we push out the last bit of storm chances, and then on Wednesday a high pressure will set up in the region.
Now for those of you looking at the forecasts this afternoon, you might be thinking that all of the storm chances means that every afternoon/evening will be a washout. Not the case. With the daytime heating and some instability, a few pop up storms scattered about the region will be possible. But nothing big. The best chances for rain showers and thunderstorms will be Monday afternoon/evening and into Tuesday morning.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, that's the weather!
