Brief Update

The weather has finally become a bit more interesting in the region, but not for today…nor for the weekend. The interesting aspect comes to us for the beginning of next week. The timing of this system is a little bit on the odd side, and I’ll type more about that when I get around to it, but let me fill you on what is going on:

We’re going to be stuck under the influence of an upper level ridge for the next 48-hours or so. This ridge will allow for those temperatures to gradually warm up across the region. The ridge of high pressure will start to shift a little bit, and as it does so, a trough of low pressure is going to head towards the region. The environment at first won’t be very favorable for the trough, but within time it’ll become a bit more favorable.

A cold front will push through the region on Monday and this is going to allow for rain showers and thunderstorms to develop along the front. How many storms and rain showers are still going to be a bit questionable, I’ll do more work on that as well.

High pressure will return to the region once again.

Extended forecasts are still being revised, but I’ll get those up one by one as I work on them. For now, that’s the weather!
