In all honesty, there are still not major changes to the forecast this evening. Clear skies in the west tonight along with the snow on the ground is going to allow for radiant cooling to be enhanced further, allowing for temperatures to more than likely fall past 10. So the only changes to the forecast that I will make tonight will be adjusting the lows. Otherwise, nothing big.
Tomorow, we're going to watch warm air pull into the region and this is going to start melting the snow off and allowing for highs to climb slowly into the 40's. Then we're going to watch a warm front push into the region, and this will usher in the rain showers towards the region by the late afternoon tomorrow and mainly overnight throughout the west and mainly after midnight in the east.
Warm air tonight in the region with rain showers and that will allow for the lows to only drop into the mid 30's in the region as there wont be a whole lot of cooling in the region.
Monday, we're going to watch the low pressure centre continuing to head towards the northern lakes, allowing for the cold front to push through the region. The cold front will push through the region during the afternoon in the west and the early evening in the east and that is going to allow for the remaining precip to switch over to snow and then pull out of the region. There will be very little accumulations in the western half of the region, but there might be a little bit of a lake effect event in the eastern half of the region, but I'll be keeping an eye on that.
Cool air doesn't advance that far into the region by the time the middle of the week rolls around as the temperatures won't really fall that much at all. So we'll remain a little bit above average.
I'll have updates coming up tomorrow morning starting at 4.30 a.m., but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
