Looking at the radar, the rain showers are still out all over the region. A fair amount of them are light and some places are only reporting a drizzle which is to be expected. Looking for the rain showers to continue on through the afternoon and then begin to taper off later tonight. The skies are going to remain cloudy throughout the region. The eastern half of the region will have to until tomrorow morning for the precip to begin to taper off. Still no changes to the forecasts at this point as things are generally running smoothly as expected. Our area of low pressure keeping the rain showers along the stationary front. Waves of low pressure and weak surface lows are along the front. The front can be found just barely off to the east of Cleveland. Temperature behind the front are hanging around the lower 40’s and over ahead of the front the temperatures are right around 50°.
Tomorrow a weak area of high pressure will try to secure the weather in the region, but it wont do a good job as a weak disturbance will try to push through later on tomorrow evening. This will bring a few snow flurries to parts of the region, but otherwise it wont do a whole lot.
Look for another, more developed high to develop to the south of the region on Wednesday and this high will keep the temps cool for the remainder of the week.
We have an upper level trough that is going to swing into the region on Friday and Saturday and that will give us another push of some snow showers, followed by a good sized high which will put temperatures down in the lower 30’s and possibly upper 20’s for a high on Saturday. I’ll type more about all this later.
I’ll have my next update coming up around 3.30 p.m. both on the site and on Facebook so be sure to check back for that. I’ll also be revising the extended forecasts around that time as well. But for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather!
