Evening Post

No major changes to the forecasts right now as things are still going to plan for right now. Skies will gradually start clearing in the west and wont do so until tomorrow in the eastern half of the region tonight.

We’ll make this brief.

A high pressure will attempt to build in the region tomorrow and this is going to keep the weather in the western half of the region tomorrow fairly calm. The eastern half wont really the see the skie clearing out until the afternoon tomorrow, but otherwise it wont be much going on regardless.

On Christmas Day we’re going to watch a quick moving trough push through the region and this is going to introduce some widely scattered snow showers into the region for the afternoon and into the evening on Christmas. The snow will not accumulate much at all in any place as the temperatures are going to be in the upper 30’s.

Another area of high pressure returns briefly into the region on Monday and this will keep the weather calm and fairly simple in the region as a whole on Monday.

Then we’re going to watch an upper level low move out of the southern Plains and head towards the region ahead of an upper level trough that is going to move down from the Plains. Now this upper low will produce a surface low pressure that is going to stay just to the south and east of the region which puts us in a good location for – snow – on Tuesday morning. I haven’t put any numbers or made times on it quite yet, I am going to wait until tomorrow morning to add do that. But for now, it is looking like a decent shot at some snow showers on Monday night and Tuesday.

I’ll have a complete update coming up tomorrow morning around 7.00 a.m. with forecasts coming up around 6.00 a.m. I’ll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I’ll have them for you as always.
