Had to bring in the detailed models this evening for the forecast, and the ones used provided more in depth details. The main chances were Saturday, unfortunetly, for the western half of the region where I did drop a few of those snow shower chances – but depending on how things go for tomorrow I might put the chance for Friday night flurries in Fort Wayne. All day today, the pattern with the charts and models were all the same – in agreement until Saturday at 7 a.m. and then things started to get odd. It isn’t so much the general upper winds that are the problem, it is the weather at the surface for once that is posing the problem. However I feel like I got the systems down well enough and that is good. Looks like two separate low pressures will ride up along the east coast and pass by the region.
We’ll see a very dry cold front push through the region over the weekend as well, and this wont really bring much except clouds.
This update is going to be cut short as well due to all the time spent on forecasting this evening. However, tomorrow morning I’ll be working on those forecasts constantly, mainly just to adjust times and temperatures. So make sure you check back throughout the morning tomorrow. I’ll keep you updated as always but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I’ll have them for you as always.
