Evening Post

Weather tonight across the region is going to be rainy as our front is stalling out across Ohio and it will remain stationary through the day tomorrow. This stationary front will allow for a few waves of low pressure to ride along it tonight. The rain showers tonight however will be widely scattered in the western half of the region. For the eastern half of the region expect some more steadier rain showers. The rain showers are going to generally make it back into the region as another low pressure system develops to the south along the end of the stationary front.

Now the weather across the region is going to be fairly soggy tomorrow as that low pressure moves out of the southern states and heads towards the region. This will give us some rain showers in the region tomorrow. As the low pressure centre nears the region, it’ll start to drag that stationary front out of the region. This dragging will begin tomorrow night and that will start to lessen up the rain showers a bit across the region.

Originally, I was expecting the upper trough would be strong, thus resulting in a more precip varied system, but the upper trough wont be as strong, so neither will the low which means that for the western half of the region it’ll mainly be a lingering rain/snow shower event early Tuesday. With that being typed, we’re now going to look way ahead into the forecast to see what is in the horizon.

Now a weak area of high pressure is going to develop to the north and west of the region on Sunday. And despite this happening, the clouds are going to generally stay in the region. This will be the result of yet another developing low pressure to our south – along with the lingering clouds from the front which will become stationary once again way over to our east.

This next low pressure will system will stay off to our east, but it could be enough that it could perhaps send a few stray snow showers into the region along with an advancing upper level trough which could help it a little bit. This is why for some places I added a chance for snow showers on Friday, however this will be monitored further early tomorrow morning so I’ll have more information on that.

Right now, I am definetly expecting a good sized, and rather dense high pressure system to build up into the region over the weekend. This high is going to cool us down to below seasonal temps. Look for highs on Friday to possibly not make it above 32° in parts of the region with lows possibly dipping all the way down in the upper teens.

I’ll have more information coming up on all this tomorrow morning at 5.30 a.m. as well as for the weather tomorrow. But for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I’ll have them for you as always.
