No major changes to the forecast this evening as a high pressure is building in the region. This high pressure will keep the region calm and cool for tonight and the day tomorrow.
Not a very active forecast for tonight. Radiant cooling will be the main feature with the weather tonight as there are going to be few clouds in the region and a good sized high pressure. This is going to allow for the temps to fall like a rock tonight.
High pressure will be the dominant feature for tomorrow and this is going to once again keep the region calm and clear.
A weak cold front is going to push through the region tomorrow night and Friday morning, and this isn’t going to really do a whole lot in the region. The majority of the precip is going to stay to the north of the region, but places like Detroit might be able to pick up a stray snow shower early Friday morning. Otherwise the only thing this system will do is going to bring in some clouds for the region on Thursday night/Friday morning.
Another area of high pressure will build into the region for Friday night and into Saturday, but this high will not over stay its welcome. We’re going to see an area of low pressure develop ahead off an upper level trough over the weekend in the central Plains and this low pressure is going to pass to the west and north of the region on Sunday. This low will pull its cold front through the region on Sunday and into Monday and this is going to introduce our next round of rain and snow showers into the region.
I’ll do further forecasting on this throughout the evening, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that’s the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I’ll have them for you as always. I’ll have a brief update coming up around 8.30 p.m.
