Still on the move

(Stationary front over the Ohio River Valley will move northward as a warm front later tonight as the low pressure from the Plain's moves towards the area).

The stationary front down in the Ohio River Valley will be moving north as the evening and late evening hours goes on. The front will be a warm front, seeing as how the warm air will be moving. Right now across the region, we're seeing quite a few rain showers through the region as well as some mixing with snow up in Green Bay.

Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit are seeing some scattered rain showers right now and we'll continue to see those scattered rain showers through the afternoon. Remember, the link to that one radar is located on the daily forecasts if you need to keep an eye on those rain showers.

There were some thunderstorms embedded within those rain showers at this point, but nothing is severe anymore. There were some severe thunderstorm warnings about an hour ago that I was following...but those storms have since collapsed and become nothing more than a patch of rain.

I am watching some redevelopment on thunderstorms just to the southwest of the region, and they look as though they are going to hold up somewhat nicely. They extend from the east of Chicago down to what looks to Muncie, Indiana. They have no warnings and they are still trying to get organized, so if they make it over the next couple radar updates then it'll be something that I will have to watch out for.

Remember, for the region today, the biggest threat from these storms will be small hail and gusty winds. The bigger storms are going to stay way down to the south in places like St. Louis and Evansville...both of which we do not forecast for.

I'll keep have more coming up in just a bit, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
