(Low pressure moving into Wisconsin will be moving into the region as the day goes on).
Depending on where you are at right now, things are a different...as always, but today its noticable. First off in Erie and Buffalo right now, snow showers being reported and those will begin to taper off through the morning as that system along the East Coast continues to move out. Erie and Buffalo you'll then go to mostly cloudy, thanks again to that low on the East Coast.
This low on the East Coast is also responsible for some of those off and on clouds over in the Detroit and Toledo areas, however I am seeing that there will be a brief break in those clouds as that low continues to move out. But do not expect that break to last too long, because our second low over in Minnesota will be moving in today and that will bring that cloud cover back more than likely around this afternoon. Scattered rain showers will be accompaning it for Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit, so you'll possibly pick up some of those scattered showers later this afternoon.
Out in Green Bay right now, we're seeing cloudy skies, no precip in the area right now, however there are scattered snow/rain showers crossing into the state of Wisconsin at this time, so you'll be seeing some of those here pretty soon. Nothing much will accumulate for you guys today as temps are going to warm up to the mid 40's this afternoon and that will allow those snow showers to switch over to rain showers.
As this evening rolls around, I am expecting that some more of those scattered rain/snow showers will make their way over into the Toledo and Fort Wayne areas. Lows tonight in those places will not allow for a whole lot of accumulation for snow (if any!) because there will be quite a bit of mixing with rain.
Erie and Buffalo you'll start to see those scattered rain/snow showers later tonight, but your chances aren't going to be as high as that of the other locations. The reason for that is because this low pressure is going to dive southeast into Ohio, and then weaken, but it will slow down a bit and travel eastward. Erie and Buffalo will see a higher chance of those rain/snow showers tomorrow.
So really some easy forecasting for the next 18-30 hours across much of the region as we're seeing that low from Minnesota move in.
As far as the poll is concerned, we got quite a few votes regarding whether or not we should add Cleveland and take away forecasting for Toronto. Nearly 85% of you said "Yes" in that we should add Cleveland and take away Toronto. So with the majority rule, starting 4 April (Monday) I'll be adding Cleveland to our forecasts. Thank you for your votes.
I'll be updating those extended forecasts throughout the day today, and I'll keep you updated throughout the day as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
