A brief end to the rain

(Low pressure going through Michigan right now, helping to cause those winds. Trough of low pressure through Indiana will move eastward tonight, ending the rain showers behind it).

Well across the region, those rain showers are coming to an end as expected. That low pressure system is moving out of the region. There are still some rain showers over in the Buffalo area but they will be moving out for that area later tonight.

First off, a good amount of you are probably noticing the wind across the region. That is because we are very close to that low pressure centre and that is just making those air molecules all excited this evening. Do not expect these winds to cease at all...nah, they stick around for the day tomorrow as well...maybe not as strong as they were today, but they will still be there nonetheless.

There are some scattered rain showers that a very light and barely making it to the ground in the Toledo and Fort Wayne area. Thos erain showers are going to be moving out here with in the next hour or so. Otherwise the entire region will see no rain showers after midnight tonight and we'll just go to mostly cloudy skies for the night tonight with temps varying in the mid 30's to the mid 40's depending on where exactly you are.

Now, I am going to be watching another system that will possibly impact us on the day Monday, and that will of course bring some rain showers again to the region, and this will happen on Monday for a good chunk of the region. I am thinking that the majority of the rain showers will not enter the region until Monday night and that is when I believe that they will be their heaviest.

As far as temps are concerned this week? Well, we're going to go through another slight warm up...but nothing like what we saw last week in the region. Temps could get into the upper 60's/lower 70's in Fort Wayne and Toledo and possibly even in Cleveland if the morning models and charts begin to show better signs of that happening. This will happen on Monday and Tuesday, more than likely on Tuesday.

Now, for the past couple nights we've been following the weather for the Apollo 13 weather, but I was too busy preparing the forecasts for tomorrow morning (things getting slightly tricky for Monday night) that I was unable to prepare a graphic for you this evening. So tomorrow morning on the morning update I will talk about the weather for this day 41 years ago during the 6th day of the Apollo 13 flight as well as the final day of the Apollo 13.

I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
