Again, we are at one of two times in the year when we go through some large and often noticable temperature swings. Places in the region today are going to see highs temps rather above average, at least for the first part of the day. However, we have a cold front that is going to move through the area this morning, and that is going to drop temps back into the 50's for most places.
Do the present water temperature of Lake Erie, when those winds shift to the northwest, it is going to push that cooler air over the cities of Buffalo and Erie, so both of you will see highs today in the 50's and then you'll drop down into the mid to lower 40's this afternoon.
Tomorrow will be a cooler day across a good chunk of the region, as the high pressure will sort of effect the region tomorrow and that will put our temps into the 50's for most of us here.
This cooler weather will last until about Monday when again, places like Fort Wayne and Toledo will see their temps go back into the mid 60's and they'll also have the chance for rain from Monday on into Wednesday night. But the big temp swing will happen on Wednesday night when temps drop back into the upper 20's and then on Thursday we could see highs only in the lower 40's in those two places.
So for this weekend, things will start off nice and somewhat cool. Mostly clear skies across much of the region for the day tomorrow, however, Sunday and Sunday afternoon, we'll watch as our next system moves into the region. This system will be mostly rain, however we could get a few rumbles of thunder in places like Toledo and Fort Wayne. The temps will go back into the 60's (mid to upper 50's for Erie and Buffalo) on Monday and of course we'll keep those rain showers through the day on Wednesday.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you.
