(GFS model showing a more southernly track for the low pressure system on the day Wednesday).
Temps are going to slowly warm across the region this week, however that will come with the slight price of a low pressure system that will pass to our south on the day Wednesday. This will mostly bring clouds and some scattered rain/snow showers to some of us here on the day Wednesday and possibly into Wednesday evening, for places like Toledo and Fort Wayne, but in general this wont be anything that we haven't already dealt with.
For most of us on the day Wednesday, it'll start off as scattered snow showers, and then we'll switch over the scattered rain showers briefly and then that'll be about it. Already, some of my models and charts are indicating that this will actually move further south of the region, and if this happens then we might not get anything. So I will be updating those extended forecasts yet again this afternoon, so do check back to those to see if I have changed anything for Wednesday.
Thursday is when Buffalo might see their chance for some of those scattered rain showers and snow showers, but it is pretty much going to be same as it was for everyone else in the region, just a 24 hour difference. This afternoon however, I might be dropping your precip chances because of the southernly track, so for you guys especially do check back this afternoon to see.
Clouds will remain for a good chunk of the region on Wednesday evening, but then they'll begin to decrease slightly. However, we could have another system impact us on the day Friday. I am going to keep most of the region as cloudy for the day on Friday, however that might change also this afternoon once those new model updates and charts come in. This low pressure right now looks as though it will be an East Coast problem, however I am going to say that if it is an East Coast storm, we could still get some clouds from it.
Otherwise, I am actually seeing temperatures making a gradual warm up this week, and for those of you warm weather people, here is some good news: we might once again be near or possible a degree or two above average on Friday and Saturday. That might also change in the meantime, depending on what this second low pressure (the East Coast one) will do. But really, it is looking like a calm week in terms of precip for the whole region this week, with the exception of Wednesday and Thursday.
So not a bad looking week, skies will be mostly clear and temps are going to gradually warm up across the entire region. I'll have more coming up for you this afternoon, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
