(Some light upper level clouds just south of Toledo and Fort Wayne. Infared satellite image for 6:31 a.m.).
As I've been typing about for the past day, a high pressure is still dominating the region right now and that is keeping those temps well below normal. In fact, again today temps are going to be about 15° below average for most of the region, and possibly even a little more in some places. However, this is coming with clear skies and light winds today, so things wont seem that cool.
There are some clouds to west of the forecast area, and those might move in later today, but they'll be high level clouds, so you wont really notice them too much, so in general it'll seem mostly clear whether we have those clouds or not. Later tonight however, we could pick up some of those clouds, but no precip, as a disturbance tracks way to the south of the region, but we might see a cloud or two and possibly a brief overcast later tonight in places like Toledo and Fort Wayne and possibly even Erie. If it does appear that it will be cloudy, of course those lows wont be as low, but it'll still be a cool night tonight either way.
Things once again clear up for the most part across the entire region for the day on Monday, and it'll be a little bit warmer for just about everyone, however we'll still be below average in temperatures, but things should get to near 40° especially for Fort Wayne.
Now, a low pressure system is going to pass just to the south of the forecast area and that will bring us the chance of some scattered rain/snow showers overnight on Tuesday and into the day on Wednesday, the exact timing of this I am still working on, but that appears to be when it will effect us. It wont be anything too much, and the precip will be scattered so it wont be an entire wash out. If you do have anything planned on Tuesday or Wednesday, things are looking a little "eh" right now for Toledo and Fort Wayne and even Erie, so do be sure that you keep checking back for updates on that.
Otherwise, Thursday as well we could pick up some more scattered precip as that low pressure moves south of our area, those will be scattered rain/snow showers again for just about everyone minus Green Bay who'll still have that high pressure playing a major roll in the weather for you guys.
On Friday, temps should return to normal as we could see highs in the upper 40's in Toledo and Fort Wayne, and maybe even mid 40's for Erie and Buffalo.
I'll keep you updated as always, by this afternoon I should have the timing of this Tuesday/Wednesday system finished and I'll let you all know what you can expect from it. But for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
