(Radar for 5:42 p.m. EST for the southern Great Lakes region).
Tonight will be a night of rainy conditions and such. Low pressures moving towards our area during the next 24 hours will give most of the forecast area (minus Green Bay) about 0.50 to 1.00 inches of rain by the time all is said and done on Sunday.
Now, Saturday night, those left over rain showers will begin to turn into snow showers, and we could pick up about an inch or so of new snow, but nothing too much, and most of it will melt away that same day because highs will be in the 30's for much of the region.
So for tonight, the break in the rain showers is going away and the rain showers are beginning to get organized over in Illinois. Could see some light flooding, but nothing that we dont see every year. I have been saying that for the past 3 days now, so hopefully you get the idea that things are just going to be rainy and not the end of the world.
I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you.
