A little below average

(Our low pressure responsible for this precip, moving eastward throughout the day, temps will quickly drop off behind).

Temperatures acorss the region are going to rise, and then for some places they will begin to fall later this afternoon...a little earlier than usual, so the contrast might be noticable for some. In places like Toledo and Fort Wayne, you'll get a high somewhere in the low to mid 40's, and then towards the later part of the afternoon temperatures will fall back down to the mid 30's as the front gets ready to pass through.

The low pressure that is causing all this is still over in the western part of the area, and that is the cause for some of this windy weather and rainy weather. Scattered rain showers aren't as abundant as I originally expected, however they are still around. There is a stationary front just to the south of the forecast area, and if that front decides to move up a little, then we will see an increased chance of precip, but in general I am going to say that it wont move up much farther than where it is right now.

Behind the system, places will see some snow, but it is really location depending. Once this low passes on through Toledo and Fort Wayne, temps will drop, but it might not happen soon enough to catch up with all the precip. This means we could get some scattered snow showers in those places, but not really any accumulation.

However, over in Buffalo and Erie we could get some rain showers today, and once that low passes through this evening and overnight, those winds will blow off the warmer Lake Erie and thus, we could get some snow. The bulk of the snow I believe will be in the Buffalo area (a little southward of Buffalo, and northward of Erie). Erie could get about 1-2 inches of snow fall between tonight and tomorrow, and Buffalo might see anywhere from 3-5 inches of snow fall before all is said and done.

Now mind you, we are going to stay around average in terms of temperature, so I do not expect that those snow fall accumulations will stay long on the ground if any. Skies will begin to clear out for the day on Friday in places across the region, and temps might get just above freezing and that will really melt that snow for you all.

So a late season system, this will more than likely be the end of the 2010-11 winter season, the last snow we might see (unless the Saturday system changes from what I think it'll do) but in general, this is just going to be more of an annoyance than anything else.

I'll have an update around noon, to keep you informed on what is going on...weather isn't always exciting, so sometimes updates make it seem more fun. And I would also like to type about this afternoon on whether or not we should get rid of forecasting for Toronto and add Cleveland, or keep things the way they are.

I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
