(Stationary front in central Ohio, responsible for the storms earlier today)
Well earlier this afternoon, a stationary front made its presense known about 50 miles south of the forecasting region. A large tornado watch was issued for the central and southern parts of Ohio, and that watch went all the way down to Tennessee. I saw quite a few storms working through the mid part of Indiana as well as Ohio and into Pennsylvania, so that is just a reminder that the next system will be for us, of course when that will be...who knows, but it wont be anytime within the next couple of days that is for sure.

Winter is making its last stand across the region, places like Green Bay might be seeing single digits yet again tomorrow night and Friday night. Lake effect snow is setting up in the region over near Buffalo, and an additional 1-3 inches of snow fall could fall tonight.
As far as places like Toledo and Fort Wayen, tonight will mostly be cloudy and a little breezy here and there. I am still seeing some rain showers and some thunderstorms just off to the south of the region, those will weaken but we could get a few drops of rain from them nonetheless.
The low pressure system is about to pass through the majority of the forecasting area, and we could get a few stray snow showers behind in places like Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit however those snow showers wont really accumulate to much...if at all.
Freezing rain advisory is in effect for the areas of Toledo and Erie, and those are really more of just a precautionary to be honest with you. They will last until about 1 a.m., however I get a feeling that they will be dropped for Toledo before that.
Looking for tomorrow, the skies will clear up slightly throughout the region however temps are going to be a little below normal, about 5-10° below normal in most places.
How long will this cooler air last you ask? Well, it'll gradually be warming up day by day here across the region, but in general we wont be returning to the 60's anytime before Tuesday, I can pretty much say that for sure right now.
Coming up in the morning, I'll be typing to you all about what we can expect for the weekend and when our next system will be. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them for you as always.
