Not as warm

(Strong low pressure in southern Manitoba, cold front in Iowa. As of Thursday evening)

Well tonight will be a warm night across much of the region, temps anywhere from the mid to upper 40's for the overnight. Now, tomorrow, I was originally expecting us to be in the mid 50's for a high but that might not be happening, and here is why:

We have the cold front located in central Iowa right now, and it is moving east. It will enter the region late tonight and pass through during the day tomorrow. Some places might be seeing the mid 50's, but for others, the front will pass before the high temp can max out at its normal time. Basically what we're going to see are temps dropping in the afternoon for places like Toledo, Fort Wayne and even Detroit.

Other places to the east like Buffalo and Erie, you'll probably see your highs in the mid 50's, and then you'll have a sudden drop off in temps around the evening hours.

So for Green Bay, I am expecting the front to pass through tomorrow morning, so that'll put your highs in the mid to upper 30's tomorrow.

Erie, you're looking at the front to pass through late afternoon/early evening which means you'll see highs in the lower 50's and then temps will drop to the upper 30's by the evening hours.

So really, everything is depending upon the front.

The rain chances for much of the region are about the same. Scattered rain showers for a good chunk of the area tonight, I am not expecting as much precip as I originally thought, but there will be a couple scattered showers overnight across much of the region.

So, temps falling tomorrow afternoon/evening for much of the region, skies clear out behind the front and we'll return to normal temps by the weekend.

I'll have more coming up for you in the morning, and be sure to check the extended forecasts for more localized information. I'll keep you updated as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them.
