Darya is trying to make her way up towards us now, she still hasn't deepend too much, but she should a little later tonight. Presently, she is over the extreme southeastern end of Missouri and then later tonight she'll pull into Indiana.
Actually here is the deal, we're seeing this wintry mix across the area right now, however we'll be seeing most of this turning to all snow probably by around midnight. The snow showers will be moderate to heavy, however the winds will make everything seem worse than what it actually is.
Speaking of winds, I have already measured a 39.3 mph wind gust here and we'll continue to see those winds gusting to near 40 mph (if not higher) throughout the night and tomorrow morning. That means our wind chills are going to be near -20°F for much of tonight.
Tomorrow morning we'll still see those steady snow showers, especially in Fort Wayne and Toledo, and by the afternoon they should taper a little and become scattered. And by tomorrow night we'll see the scattered snow showers move out of the region and we'll begin to clear up.
Thursday looks to be a cool day with highs only in the mid teens across much of the region.
So, this is about as bad as it'll get -- you see, not the end of the world -- and we might see those gusty winds really make things difficult. But hey, its winter...learn it, love it and get over it. We get a system like this every year...or at least every other year, so this definetly wont be anything that we haven't endured before...unless you just moved here from Florida then I guess you're new to it.
So for Toledo: 5-9 inches tonight, and then another 1-3 possible in the morning. That gives us a grand total (between last night and tomorrow afternoon) of about 8-15 inches, depending on where you are.
I'll keep you up to date as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them in the morning.
