Если мы все по-русски... это, как она будет выглядеть. Oh, Russian, such a fun language. And I am just getting you in the mood for the weather that we could be seeing by this time next week. But we'll type about that in just a minute. But first lets talk about the weather that'll be impacting us here in the Great Lakes for the next couple of days.
First off, we have that clipper system that is already in the western Great Lakes region. This is just mostly some light snow that could give about an inch or two of accumulation in places like Toledo, Fort Wayne and Toledo starting late tonight and lasting through the day on Saturday. Most of it will actually be those scattered snow showers we've come to known. But that isn't the big topic of tonights post...no, hardly.
It is the low pressure that will effect the Great Lakes region Monday through Wednesday. This low pressure was originally suppose to start in the Ozarks and give most of us some snow, but now it has sinced changed its mind. Now it has decieded to form in Nebraska and move through central Michigan. Because of this, we here in the Great Lakes region will see either a rain/snow mix or just a plain wintery mix. This doesn't mean that we are going to be ripped off completely. Oh no, this is just a way for the weather to mock us for what is to come...hopefully.
First off, on Tuesday most of the Great Lakes will see a chance for rain...but that doesn't that it is going to be warm. Not really at all, it just be barely above freezing, most places wont see highs over 35°. However, these temperatures will be high enough in altitude to cause that frozen precip to melt into a rain form. Now, it a cool layer of air slides in on Tuesday morning during one of these possible "light rain events" then we could see some freezing rain, but in all honesty, I do not expect it be anything to be worried about.
Behind this system is a nice chunk of colder air from the Praire provinces of Canada, and this air could be anywhere from -5° in Green Bay on Tuesday night, to 5° in NW Ohio on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Yes, that's right, we're going to have a large temperature contrast.
So, Tuesday looks like a chance for rain and/or wintry mix...so just about everything that can fall from the sky, could fall across the region on Tuesday. Keep checking the extended forecasts on the right side of this website so you can make sure what surprise of precip you'll be getting for Tuesday...oh weather humor.
We'll have more coming in the morning, and we'll continue to type (and you'll read) more about this weather system and how it'll effect us all and what we can expect afterwards in terms of temperature. I'll keep you up to date as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking for updates.
