The system that we'll be seeing over the next 36 hours is going to be one of those "every other year" type storms. We dont usually see a system like this every year, but we get one like every other year. So they aren't unusual, but they aren't frequent for us. Right now, literally half the country is under a watch and/or warning or some kind.
We'll see this system roll in later tonight for much of the region, especially in Toledo, Fort Wayne and Detroit.
In Toledo and Fort Wayne we'll pick up about 1-2 inches tonight of snow. But those snow showers will be mostly light with some moderate bands here and there.
The big system will get ready later tonight and tomorrow morning down along the Gulf. This system will quickly get itself organized and then move up northeast towards our region.
Basically, I haven't really changed much from last nights forecast in all honesty. Just a few adjustments here and there, but in general I dont think that I will have to alter my forecast much.
There could be a wintry mix down along the southern locations of the region, which means some light freezing rain will be possible tomorrow morning, but in general, this will all mostly be a snow event.
However, the more freezing rain we get in the morning tomorrow, the lesser the snow fall we'll see. However, I am still calling for 7-15 inches of snow for Toledo, 6-12 for Fort Wayne, and possibly 5-12 inches in Erie, however I am thinking that I will have to bump Erie's up later today.
I'll keep you updated throughout the day today as this system moves in, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them!
