'Tis be an adventure!

Well folks, for much of the southern Great Lakes region today we're going to expierence another fun temperature swing. Not as good as the one we had last week, but still a swing nonetheless.

We got a low pressure making its way from the Plains right now, actually two low pressures right now that I am keeping an eye one. One is Kansas and quickly moving its way Northeast towards the Iowa region. And the other low pressure is in S. Dakota and will be most likely moving up towards Minnesota as the day goes on.

I believe the heaviest of the rain will be anywhere from Cleveland on over to Erie, where on Tuesday night we could see a lot of these rain showers start to mix with some snow showers in the northern Ohio/NW Pennsylvania region.

Highs today in Toledo will be in the mid 40's, and we'll call it mostly cloudy for the day today. The clouds will really thicken up as the afternoon arrives. Later this evening, I am going to say anywhere after 5 p.m. we could start having the chance for scattered rain showers in the area. Then, it will be anytime after about 9 p.m. that those rain showers will become a constant event. The rain showers will last over into tomorrow morning especially, and then it'll become scattered rain showers on Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday highs near 50°. Then on Tuesday night we could see those rain showers switch over to snow showers, but no accumulation expected..

If you're going on over to Cleveland today, highs will also be in the mid 40's, and your weather will be similar to Toledo's in the sense that you'll be cloudy for much of the day. The rain showers for you in Cleveland will start to become scattered probably after about 5 p.m., and then the real rain should start coming down after about 9 p.m. This rain will go into tomorrow morning and then by tomorrow afternoon it should really only become a scattered event. Highs tomorrow near 50 for you too. Then on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, you could start to see those snow showers mix in, and actually the snow will be possible through your Thursday. Anywhere from an inch of snow could fall during that time frame.

Otherwise, most places are seeing a similar forecast. So lets sum this all up right now, most places from Fort Wayne to Erie today will be cloudy to start off with, and then those clouds will thicken up a lot more as the day goes on. Highs today in the upper 40's/lower 50's. Rain showers possible anytime after 5 p.m. and the heaviest of rain should start falling after 9 p.m. tonight and last through the morning. Rain showers becoming scattered tomorrow, a high near 50. Then Tuesday night, rain showers mixing with snow is possible.

I'll keep you all up to date on this weather system as it happens, and yes, this low could become a named low, by me, so I'll let you know when that happens. Otherwise, have a nice day and I'll be back with your update later this morning.
