Well, like I said, it's going to be an interesting weekend the farther up north you go. Winter Storm advisories are being posted for the counties just off to the west of Marquette, however the big weather events are going to pass you. Other places are going to see a mostly cloudy weekend with scattered rain showers likely. Temperatures will also be cooling down, on Sunday look for highs to return to normal as the cold front finally makes its way through the area. Lets have a look at my forecast:
Toledo: Saturday, highs near 70° with mostly clear skies. Skies will turn mostly cloudy towards the early evening hours and a low near 45°. Late on Saturday Night expect some scattered rain showers, becoming more frequent as the night progresses. Going into Sunday, temperatures cool off to near 55° for a high with mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers.
Detroit: Foggy in the morning with highs near 65°, otherwise a mostly cloudy day. Saturday Night will be filled with scattered rain showers and lows near 50°. On Sunday, look for the scattered rain showers to move out of the area and highs will be only near 50°.
Fort Wayne: Scattered rain showers likely, especially in the afternoon. Highs near 70°. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the scattered rain showers will continue on through tomorrow night with lows near 40°. On Sunday, I still expect scattered rain showers to be in the area, with highs near 50°.
Cleveland: Tomorrow will be a sunny day with high temperatures near 70°. On Saturday night, you'll start having those clouds roll in and expect some isolated rain showers in the area with a low near 50°. On Sunday however temperatures will be cool with highs near 60°, mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers for the first part of the day (mostly before 3 p.m.).
Erie: Cool with highs only near 60°, mostly clear skies however. Tomorrow night you'll start seeing the clouds roll in with lows near 50°. Sunday, scattered rain showers arriving before noon, however it wont be a washout. Highs near 55°.
Buffalo: Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy skies with a high near 60°. Tomorrow night expect the clouds to roll in late but not before having a low of near 40°. Sunday, scattered rain showers and high near 50°.
Green Bay: Scattered rain showers tonight, lows near 40°. Tomorrow, highs near 50° with off and on rain showers and mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow night, rainy again, lows near 35° and some of those rain showers could mix in with a little snow, but there will not be any accumulation so dont get your hopes up. Sunday highs near 40° and a mix of both rain and snow is likely throughout much of the day.
Marquette: Tonight, mostly cloudy with scattered rain/snow showers. Tomorrow, highs near 45° with rain/snow showers likely in the morning, and then becomming all rain afternoon. Tomorrow night, lows near off an on rain showers with lows near 45°. Sunday, we'll see highs dropping down to near 40° with off and on rain showers mixing with some snow occasionally.
Thunder Bay: Snow showers beginning early in the morning, expect high temperatures only near 4°C otherwise, mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow night, the snow showers will be off and on, lows near 0°C. Going into Sunday, expect temperatures to stay low with highs only near 2°C. Total snow accumulation will not be much, only 2-5 cm.
I'll keep you up to date as always, especially as this weak "winter storm" makes it way just to the west of Lake Superior. That's the weather!
