Now that Tzipora is out of the way, and our second low decided to just flat out miss us, we are going to have some boring weather in store for the Great Lakes region for the next couple of hours.
Here are some of my forecasts:
Toledo
Today: Highs near 45, early morning scattered rain showers then just a mostly cloudy day with some clearing.
Tonight: Lows down around 25, mostly clear.
Fort Wayne
Today: Scattered rain showers until about noon, highs near 45 as well. Mostly cloudy
Tonight: Mostly clear, lows down around 25.
Detroit
Today: Scattered rain/snow showers possible in the morning, then just a mostly cloudy day. Highs only near 40.
Tonight: Lows down in the lower 20's. Mostly clear
So why is the weather so boring? Because it feels like it!! Well, technically, yes, however meteorologically speaking, it is because we have an area of High pressure extending from Texas up to northern Alberta. As you know, high pressures are typically cooler weather. This area of high pressure will be moving into the area today and into tonight.
So how is the weekend looking? I know there are some holiday parades going on this weekend, and most places will see a cool weekend with little chances of rain. Toledo, Fort Wayne, Detroit, Cleveland, Lima, all the Saturdays are looking rain free with cooler temperatures. Most places will see highs in the lower 40's.
Where is Tzipora now? Well this is my final update on Tzipora for two reasons: 1) Tzipora is way out of my forecast range, and 2) she is no longer a concern to the Great Lakes region. Tzipora is currently holding on at 987 mbs, and she is located in the Saint Lawerence seaway, between New Brunswick and Quebec. Remember folks, within the next couple days I will be posting my analysis on Tzipora and trust me, it bares reading -it wont be boring.
I'll keep you all up to date on the weather as always, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather!
