Clipper

(Our clipper system responsible for the snow that will effect the region today and tomorrow).

Well we have another winter clipper system getting ready to move through the area. And we'll see light snow accumulations in the area, nothing too much. This clipper is accompanied by another front and then will partially work with a low pressure that'll ride along the east coast. This means that the people in the eastern part of our region could see some more snow showers than the rest of us. Let us take a look at my forecast however.

For Toledo: I expect today to be mostly cloudy, and just to play it safe I am going to call for a chance of scattered snow showers later this afternoon. It'll be a little warm with highs near 30°. Then this evening, I am going to keep the scattered snow showers around and by about midnight, we'll see those more steady (or at least off and on) snow showers move through the area. We'll pick up about 1-3 inches of snow overnight. Monday we'll see scattered snow showers in the morning and then we'll have a brief break. By Monday afternoon, we could see another chance for some scattered snow showers, but these ones shouldn't accumulate to much. Monday night, the scattered snow showers will barely stick around the area, nothing really in terms of accumulation.

So in short terms for Toledo: Chance of snow tonight through Monday night, about 1-3 inches of accumulation.

For Fort Wayne: Things will be about the same as they were for Toledo. Scattered snow showers possible this afternoon, and becoming steady overnight. 1-3 inches of accumulation possible. It'll be Monday that will be a little different. I am not expecting the East Coast low to effect you guys that much, so I wont keep the scattered snow showers in your forecast that much. Monday afternoon, I am thinking that the scattered snow showers are going to stay to your east and it'll just be cloudy for you guys. Monday night, it'll be cloudy with lows in the lower teens. Cooler weather will be in store for you guys starting Tuesday.

So in short terms for Toledo: Chance of snow this afternoon through Monday afternoon, about 1-3 inches of accumulation possible.

And for Erie: Things will be a little different for you guys than the rest of the region. You'll see a more decent chance of snow showers between tomorrow (Monday) and through Tuesday night. For today however, I expect that clipper wont reach you guys, so it'll just be cloudy with a high in the mid 30's...that'll allow some of that snow to melt. Now, later tonight, more towards tomorrow morning, you'll see those scattered and steadier snow showers enter the area, and you'll pick up about 1-3 inches of snow by Monday morning. Because it is Erie and fate is the way it is, you'll see snow showers stick around the area for the day on Monday and into Monday night as well. You guys could pick up another inch or two of snow fall. On Tuesday, those snow showers will stick around again as another low moves along the East Coast, and those snow showers should last until Wednesday.

So in short terms for Erie: A chance of snow this evening through Wednesday, could see about 3-5 inches of snow.

So that is a look at some places here in the region. The clipper will effect most of us either today (Green Bay will get it first) or tomorrow, and the clipper will be in the region through tomorrow. Now for places like Erie and Buffalo, the East Coast low will also effect you, hence why your snow fall totals are predicted to be a little higher than everyone else. Otherwise, not a bad next couple days. Temps will get much cooler behind all this, and I'll type about that later this evening.

As always, I'll keep you updated, but for now, I am Timmy Albertson and that's the weather! Keep checking back for updates because I'll have them.
